Ultraframe, the UK’s trusted name in high-performance roofing systems, continues to lead not just in design innovation but also in sustainability. With over 30 years of industry experience and more than 2 million roofing systems installed nationwide, the company has now added renewable energy to its list of achievements—through the successful deployment of a large-scale solar installation.
Project Mission
The goal was to reduce electricity costs and support Ultraframe’s broader sustainability strategy. Through the design and implementation of a bespoke solar PV system, the project aimed to maximise on-site energy generation while integrating seamlessly into existing operations.
The Challenge
This was Ultraframe’s first large-scale renewable energy project. Entering new territory, they needed a partner who could manage the full process—from planning and installation to system commissioning—with minimal disruption and maximum efficiency. Kennedy Renewables delivered just that.
Our Solution
We installed a solar PV system comprising over 1,000 high-performance panels. Designed specifically for Ultraframe’s energy usage profile and site layout, the system ensures optimal generation and long-term reliability.
Our team managed:
Site analysis and bespoke system design
Full installation and grid integration
Testing, commissioning, and post-install support
Results Achieved
System Size and Generation
The solar installation generates approximately 373,009 kWh of clean energy per year, covering 35% of Ultraframe’s annual electricity needs.Electricity Savings
The system reduces Ultraframe’s reliance on the grid, delivering significant cost savings and improving long-term energy resilience.CO₂ Reduction
The project offsets 110,401 kg of CO₂ emissions annually, reinforcing Ultraframe’s environmental credentials and supporting their corporate social responsibility objectives.
