Protective Packaging Ltd, a global leader in corrosion prevention and climate-controlled packaging, has taken a significant step toward sustainability with the installation of a high-performance solar energy system. Known for their commitment to protecting valuable assets in storage and transit, the company has extended that mission to the planet itself—by reducing their environmental impact through renewable energy.

Project Mission

The goal was simple but ambitious: reduce operational emissions and energy costs without compromising efficiency. To achieve this, we implemented a 265 kW solar power system using 530 high-efficiency panels. This setup was designed to maximise output while seamlessly integrating into Protective Packaging’s existing operations.

• System Size and Generation
  The installation, comprising 530 solar panels and a total capacity of 265 kW, generates approximately 235,006 kWh of renewable energy annually.

• Annual Electricity Savings
  Protective Packaging now benefits from a 40.50% reduction in electricity consumption, leading to significant operational savings and increased energy independence.

• CO₂ Reduction
  This project prevents the emission of around 77,909 kg of CO₂ each year, reinforcing Protective Packaging’s commitment to environmentally responsible practices.
