Trade Fabrics has installed a 119 kWp rooftop solar array at its Leicester site. Knitting machines run continuously through the working day, giving the steady daytime demand that rooftop solar matches best. The system generates over 107,000 kWh of its own electricity each year, taking a permanent cost out of production and cutting the site's carbon footprint by more than 20 tonnes annually.
